The final pieces of the 2008 Scorpion women's soccer puzzle are complete with a little taste of Jamaica.

Women's soccer coach Nik Barjaktarevic announced that Rochelle Bryan and Venicia Reid of Jamaica and Elsa Moreno of El Paso have signed Red River Athletic Conference Letters of Intent to join the Scorpions.

"I’m very proud and excited to finalize our 2008 roster especially with these two amazing athletes that competed at the highest level and played for Jamaican National Team," Barjaktarevic said. "Rochelle and Venicia are coming with great recommendations and I have no doubt that will have immense impact on our team."

Bryan, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, is a defensive midfielder, and Reid, also of Kingston, is a forward. Both plan to major in Kinesiology/Exercise Science.

Moreno, a 2008 graduate of El Paso Coronado, is a defensive midfielder.

The three signees completes the Scorpion 18-woman roster.

"Fans should get ready for some exciting games this season with some of their last year favorites and a lot of new, very talented players," Barjaktarevic said.
