Women's Soccer Team Signs Goalkeeper Reid

Stephanie Reid of Mississauga, Canada has signed a Red River Athletic
Conference Letter of Intent to join the Scorpion women's soccer team.
Reid is the 10th recruit to sign with the Scorpions. Coach Nik Barjaktarevic expects to sign four more before August.
Reid is transferring to UTB/TSC from University of the Cumberlands, where she was the starting goalkeeper for a a Patriot team that went 16-5 in the 2007 season in the Mid-South Conference. She earned Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors twice and regional POW once.
“We couldn’t be happier with Stephanie joining our team and how our recruiting class for the upcoming season came together," Barjaktarevic said. "Stephanie is an excellent goalkeeper with great presence on the field, very comfortable in the goal, and will bring a lot of experience as well as leadership."
Reid, who plans to major in Early Childhood Education, was a member of the club team that was Ontario Cup champions in 2002.
"I am excited about starting a new adventure at UTB/TSC," Reid said. "I look forward to meeting new friends and expanding my soccer abilities, while earning an education."
