McCormick, Purser Named Honorable Mention All-Americans

Midfielder Mark McCormick and defender David Purser have been named to the NAIA Men's Soccer All-America Team as Honorable Mention selections.

The Scorpions competed in men's and women's soccer in the NAIA for the first time in 2007. The men's Scorpions finished with a 14-5-1 record as NAIA Region VI semifinalists.

McCormick, a senior from Newmains, Scotland and Purser, a junior from Boston England, were both named to the Honorable Mention.

McCormick, the team captain, scored seven goals and had a team-high seven assists.

Purser anchored the Scorpions' defense and scored two goals after corner kicks by McCormick.
