Defense of Red River Athletic Conference Title Tuesday

AUSTIN -- The important games
begin Tuesday for the UTB/TSC Scorpions men's soccer team, who begin defense
of their Red River Athletic Conference against Huston-Tillotson University
at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, at St. Francis School Field.
HTU (3-4-1) is expected to finish in the upper tier of teams in the conference, making Tuesday's game even more important.
UTB/TSC (4-2) won the 2007 RRAC regular season and tournament championships in its first year participating in the NAIA soccer. The Scorpions have recorded three shutouts out of their four victories thus far.
The Scorpions are fresh from a 1-0 win over Our Lady of the Lake University September 20 in Brownsville. After Tuesday's game, UTB/TSC visits Oklahoma for games against Oklahoma City University Friday, September 26, and Southern Nazarene University Saturday, September 27. Both teams are ranked in the NAIA top 10.
