Scorpions Fall to OLLU on Header in Overtime, 1-0

 SAN ANTONIO -- Tomas Flores knocked home a header with one minute left in overtime to lift Our Lady of the Lake University to a 1-0 victory over the UTB/TSC Scorpions Friday, September 14.

Dallas Longfellow assisted on the goal for the Saints, now 5-2-1 for the season. OLLU is an independent member of the NAIA.

 

The Scorpions (2-2-1) travel to Austin today to play Huston-Tillotson University (4-1-1) at 4 p.m.

 

UTB/TSC outshot the Saints, 7-5. Goalkeeper Bojan Maric had four saves.

 

"We didn't take advantage our opportunities to score, we had enough chances to win this game," Scorpion head coach Dan Balaguero said. “Hopefully this will be another lesson for us because  we have another tough game tomorrow (against HTU).”

  

After the HTU game Saturday, the Scorpions will play in Seguin Tuesday, September 18, against Texas Lutheran University. The Scorpions begin their home season at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 20, against Huston-Tillotson at Morningside Park.
