Scorpion Men’s Soccer Players Visit Castaneda Elementary School

UTB/TSC men's soccer coach Dan Balaguero and members of the Scorpion soccer team took part in a TAKS pep rally at Castaneda Elementary School on May 3.

The UTB/TSC student-athletes helped encourage and motivate the children from the elementary school in Brownsville’s Southmost area as they prepared to take the state-mandated standardized test.

"It was fun to go out and talk to the youngsters about the importance of education. The staff and students at Castaneda made us feel so welcome," Balaguero said.
