The
sites and
opponents for the UTB/TSC men's and women's soccer teams for their NAIA
Region VI first-round games Saturday, November 3, have not determined.
The top two teams from the Red River Athletic Conference and Sooner Athletic Conference will participate in the six-team regional tournament. The top two seeds get byes from first-round action and will advance to the semifinals in Oklahoma City November 5-6.
The remaining four seeds will play in first-round games Saturday at the home field of the higher seed.
Because the Sooner Athletic Conference will not conclude its postseason tournament until Tuesday night, regional qualifiers have not been determined. The RRAC concluded its tournament Saturday, October 27, and the Scorpion men's and women's teams won both tournaments.
In the men's division, UTB/TSC is a likely No. 3 seed, which would give the Scorpions a home game Saturday against an undetermined opponent. However, even the Scorpions' seed position is not a certainty.
In the women's division, UTB/TSC could be seeded No. 4 or No. 5, depending on the outcome of the SAC tournament games. If the Scorpion women's team receives a No. 4 seed, they would also play at Morningside Park Saturday night. If the Scorpion women receive a No. 5 seed, they would play somewhere in Oklahoma Saturday.
The exact seed positions and opponents will not be made certain until possibly late Tuesday night, when the SAC championship games are completed.
