Scorpion women's golfer Andrea Cadriel will be featured in a television highlight show of the 22nd Annual PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship held in May in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

The highlight show will be broadcast on the Golf Channel at 6 p.m. Monday, July 7. It will also air at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30.

Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona, Fla. won both the Division I men's and women's titles. The Championship featured nearly 200 contestants from 47 colleges and universities, representing 14 countries.

Cadriel, who just completed her freshman season at UTB/TSC, had parred seven straight holes leading up to the final 18th hole at the PGA Golf Club May 11. The highlight will show her holing out the final hole from 80 yards away.

"It was my last hole of the tournament, and I wanted to stay in the 80s," Cadriel said. "I was playing really well on that back nine until that last hole.

Ironically, the last hole was nearly disastrous for Cadriel. After her first shot in the fairway, she went in the water with her second shot. After taking a drop for her third shot, her fourth shot went in the water again. After a drop for her fifth shot, she chipped on to the fairway on her sixth shot, and holed the 80-yarder for her seventh shot.

"I was almost in tears before the last shot because there were a lot of people watching," Cadriel said. "It was an amazing way to finish the tournament. It's definitely something I will never forget."

Cadriel finished the third round with an 88 and had a 54-hole total of 268.
