place after the first round of the Texas A&M
University International-Jack
Brown Memorial Golf Tournament
Monday, February
4 at Laredo Country Club.
The final 18 holes of the 36-hole event will be played Tuesday, February 5.
UTB/TSC shot a five-woman total of 354, trailing first-round leader UT-Pan American, which shot a 315. St. Mary's University is in second place with a 354.
April Martinez led the Scorpions with a round of 80, which is good for fourth place and six shots behind Ale Camey of UTPA, who shot a 74.
Other scores for the Scorpions were Tara Calderon at 85, Annette Valdez at 94, Andrea Cadriel at 95, and Allison Valles at 99.
The tournament is one of four tournaments for the Scorpions this semester. The next tournament will be the 10th Annual Sen. Eddie Lucio Invitational to be held at the Treasure Hills Country Club in Harlingen Feb. 16-17.
