Scorpion Women Golfers Improve on 2nd Day

The Scorpion women golfers improved by 17 strokes from the first day, but still finished 13th at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor Fall Invitational Monday at Mill Creek Country Club in Salado.
UTB/TSC finished with a team score of 367 Tuesday after an opening 384 Monday for a 751 total, 90 shots behind tournament champion Southwestern University, which had a team score of 661.
For the Scorpions, Allison Valles had the team's best day with an 84, improving 18 strokes from an opening day 102 for a 186 total. April Martinez had an 88 Tuesday after an opening day 80 for a 168 total.
Other Scorpion scores were Tara Calderon 100-92=192 and Annette Valdez 102-103=205.
